This depends on the condition of your nails, the length and your own wishes. If your nails are very short or 'bitten', I probably won't put an extension. I prefer to let the nails grow back naturally in their original shape and condition before doing too much with them. Often a manicure and good care and coming back every 2 weeks is best at the beginning. You can always contact me and send a photo for more information.

Lately you hear more about allergies to certain nail products. Just like I became allergic to hair dye, this can also be the case for certain substances in nail products. It is important when applying nails that you know what you are doing, how it works and how to limit risks. I have studied prevention, work accurately and with high-quality products.

I often hear the question whether your nails are not damaged by the products you use. Explained in simple terms; just like nail polish does not damage your nails or make-up, another artificial product does not damage your nails either, provided you work with the right products and work hygienically. The damage is mainly caused by excessive filing, dehydration by too much acetone, but also by picking/pulling off gel polish or by coming back too late for a follow-up treatment.

From the age of 16 you are welcome to have gel polish/biab applied with the permission of one of your parents and that person may also come with you. At this age, the nails are still growing and due to the hormones your nails contain more oils, which means the gel adheres less well. In addition, behavior/sense of responsibility (age phase) plays a role. Since there is a big chance that they will have nails applied anyway, I prefer it to be done responsibly:-).

My preference is that you come to the appointment alone unless you are coming with your daughter as a parent/guardian. Pets can come along in consultation.
